Summary
Ezekiel 15:1–5 – The vine wood parable
What happens: God compares Jerusalem to vine wood, which is not useful for making objects. When burned, it is even more useless.
What it means: A life detached from God bears no lasting fruit. Calling without obedience becomes waste. God made His people to be fruitful in holiness and worship.
Ezekiel 15:6–8 – Set for the fire
What happens: God sets Jerusalem like the burned vine for fire and desolation because of unfaithfulness. The land becomes a waste.
What it means: Persistent sin leads to ruin. God’s judgment is not random; it answers covenant betrayal. He warns so we will return and live.
