Isaiah 25:1–5 – Praise for God’s Faithful Plans
What happens: Isaiah praises God for doing wonders planned long ago. He has turned strong cities into ruins and become a refuge for the poor. Storms break, but God is a shelter.
What it means: God is faithful to His wise plans and defends the weak. His justice levels pride, and His mercy protects the humble. Worship answers His character.
Isaiah 25:6–8 – The Great Feast and Death Defeated
What happens: On God’s mountain a feast for all peoples is set with rich food and aged wine. God removes the shroud over the nations and swallows up death. He wipes away tears and removes His people’s disgrace.
What it means: God’s salvation is generous and global. He conquers death, revealing His steadfast love. In Christ this promise reaches fullness when death is defeated.
Isaiah 25:9–12 – We Wait for Him; The Proud Brought Low
What happens: God’s people say, “This is our God; we waited for Him.” Moab is brought low, and high walls collapse. God’s hand rests on His mountain.
What it means: Faith waits for the Lord and finds joy when He acts. God humbles the proud and secures His people. Hope grows by trusting His timing.
