Isaiah 62:1–5 – New Names and Delighting Love
What happens: For Zion’s sake the prophet will not be silent until her righteousness shines. She receives new names like Hephzibah and Beulah, and God rejoices over her as a bridegroom over a bride.
What it means: God gives a new identity rooted in His delight. His covenant love replaces shame and shows His faithful heart.
Isaiah 62:6–9 – Watchmen and Secure Harvests
What happens: Watchmen cry out day and night, reminding God until He establishes Jerusalem. The people eat their harvest in peace under God’s protection.
What it means: Persistent prayer partners with God’s promises. The Lord secures the work of His people, proving His care in ordinary life.
Isaiah 62:10–12 – Prepare the Way and Proclaim Salvation
What happens: A highway is cleared for the people, a banner is raised, and the Lord declares, “Your salvation comes.” God’s people are called Holy and Sought Out.
What it means: God gathers a restored people and makes them a testimony. Salvation is public and hopeful, revealing God’s holy purpose.
