What happens: A wise son gladdens his father. The prudent see danger and hide. Take security from strangers carefully. Persistent quarreling is like a dripping roof. Iron sharpens iron, and friends sharpen each other. The crucible tests silver, and praise tests a person.
What it means: Wisdom anticipates risk and guards commitments. Mutual correction strengthens character before God. Home peace requires restraint. Success exposes hearts, so humility is vital.
Proverbs 27:23–27 – Know Your Flocks
What happens: Know the condition of your flocks; riches do not last forever. Fields and herds provide clothing and food. Goat’s milk sustains the household.
What it means: God calls for attentive stewardship over what He entrusts. Wealth is temporary, but diligent care endures. Provision comes through faithful management. Wisdom plans for future needs.
