Summary
Psalm 143:1–2 – Mercy, not merit What happens: He pleads for God to hear, admitting no one is righteous before Him. What it means: We approach God by grace. Humility is the doorway to help.
Psalm 143:3–6 – Remember and thirst What happens: Enemies crush him; he remembers God’s works and stretches out his hands. What it means: Memory fuels faith. Desire for God sustains the fainting soul.
Psalm 143:7–12 – Teach me to do Your will What happens: He asks for quick mercy, guidance, deliverance, and life for God’s name’s sake. What it means: God leads the teachable. Salvation magnifies God’s righteousness and love.
