Psalm 90:1–6 – Eternity and dust What happens: God is the dwelling place through generations; before mountains, He is God. Humans return to dust like grass that fades. What it means: God is eternal; we are brief. Wisdom begins with humility before His timeless rule.
Psalm 90:7–12 – Number our days What happens: God’s anger consumes because of sin; our years pass quickly. The prayer asks for a heart of wisdom. What it means: Sin shortens and sours life. Wisdom counts days to live them well under God.
Psalm 90:13–17 – Establish our work What happens: The psalmist asks God to return with compassion, satisfy with steadfast love, and establish the work of our hands. What it means: Only God can turn sorrow to joy. Lasting value comes from His favor on our labor.
