Song of Solomon 6:1–3 – Where Is He

Song of Solomon 6:4–10 – Matchless Beauty
What happens: He praises her as beautiful and awe-inspiring. Queens and maidens bless her and call her unique, like the dawn, the moon, and the sun.
What it means: Exclusive praise guards the bond. Love that honors with truth reflects God’s delight in His gifts. Public affirmation strengthens private union.
Song of Solomon 6:11–13 – The Shulammite’s Return
What happens: She goes down to the orchard, and suddenly she is set among chariots. People call, “Return, return, O Shulammite, that we may look upon you.” They watch the dance of Mahanaim.
What it means: Love draws attention, yet it belongs to the couple, not the crowd. Boundaries protect what is intimate from spectacle. Godly love resists being put on display for others’ curiosity.
